My quite new computer froze on startup, not able to even get to any diagnostic or trouble shooting programs. After several frustrating days of trying to get it to self correct by repeatedly unplugging (etc.) I contacted Thumbtack to arrange for bids for estimated repairs. Amir responded very quickly with the lowest bid. As was my preference I took the computer to him. He spent some time trying to fix but soon determined the hard drive was bad. He gave me some options and estimates of the costs for replacement parts, keeping the labor costs the same as the original bid. For personal security of my information he left the old hard drive in place. As I am pretty much computer illiterate he offered to come to my house and set up the computer with the same programs and downloads as I had previously. He set up the wireless router and added the network connection with my older backup computer for easy transfer of files, patiently showing me how to do it . He downloaded additional software for my printer/scanner functions, still not asking for any additional pay beyond his original bid! I gladly offered a few extra dollars for work that was exceptional, prompt and beyond what was originally discussed. Amir demonstrated his abilities with courteous, friendly service. His costs were very reasonable. Based on my experience I would highly recommend him to anyone with computer problems.
