My software engineering experiences are classified into two: Academic Activities, and Business-world Activities. Java languages for high-level academic related activities in college. For business-world, I was involved in large software development project coding in C; then using Perl, C, and JavaScript, I was involved in a project similar to that of modern day search-engine web crawling; I used Java for scientific related simulation programs, wrote many applets when J2EE applications were not popular then; and banking or business-world related applications. All these projects involved dealing with databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and so on. I coded XML-RPC, SOAP, REST, and other web service protocols in PHP, and Java, but can also code in other popular languages like Python, Ruby, and Perl for these same concepts. Software engineering activities in business world are more involved in software testing, altering, and maintaining than someone spending most of his career coding for one big application. Java programs testing many blocks of codes and changing them. Click here to see Christopher McGrath resume here. Looking for an affordable desktop? The Lenovo IdeaCentre 510A is great for those on a budget. Starting around $500, this desktop already comes with a monitor, keyboard and mouse, so you have everything you need in one purchase. With the powerful 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 processor, the Lenovo IdeaCentre can handle most tasks with ease. It’s suitable for gaming, streaming movies and storing heavy media. The 1TB hard drive can hold many of your favorite photos and high-definition (HD) videos with plenty of room to spare. The downside? Some users have claimed the desktop lags for periods and freezes. If a desktop’s visuals and screen size are the most important aspects to you, the Apple 27-inch iMac makes everything look better. The stunning display is bright and vibrant, boasting super sharp text, crystal clear videos and high-quality images. The screen and display create jaw-dropping visuals, but the iMac also packs faster processors (10th-gen, 10-core Intel Core i9), more memory (16GB), richer audio and video experiences, and top-notch security features.
A baby’s vision is blurry, but it pays special attention to faces, and is quickly able to identify its mother’s. It prefers the sound of voices to non-speech sounds, and can distinguish one basic speech sound from another. We are, without doubt, built to make social connections. A healthy newborn is also equipped with more than a dozen reflexes - ready-made reactions to certain stimuli that are important for its survival. It turns its head in the direction of something that brushes its cheek and then sucks whatever enters its mouth. It holds its breath when submerged in water. It grasps things placed in its hands so strongly it can nearly support its own weight. Perhaps most important, newborns come equipped with powerful learning mechanisms that allow them to change rapidly so they can interact increasingly effectively with their world, even if that world is unlike the one their distant ancestors faced. Senses, reflexes and learning mechanisms - this is what we start with, and it is quite a lot, when you think about it.
With many technologies, such as bus or star networks, a single failure can cause the network to fail entirely. In general, the more interconnections there are, the more robust the network is; but the more expensive it is to install. Therefore most network diagrams are arranged by their network topology which is the map of logical interconnections of network hosts. Bus network: all nodes are connected to a common medium along this medium. This was the layout used in the original Ethernet, called 10BASE5 and 10BASE2. This is still a common topology on the data link layer, although modern physical layer variants use point-to-point links instead, forming a star or a tree. Star network: all nodes are connected to a special central node. This is the typical layout found in a small switched Ethernet LAN, where each client connects to a central network switch, and logically in a wireless LAN, where each wireless client associates with the central wireless access point.
